WordPress Spell Checker

I always get questions about the spell checker that comes with WordPress. Why doesn’t it work properly. The first thing you need to understand is that the button for the spell checker is a toggle button. Click it once to turn it on, click it again to turn it off. This really confuses people for some reason.

The other thing that confuses people is the down arrow next to the button, this is for selecting languages, nothing else. You really should never need to mess with this setting.

Once you have run the spell checker in WordPress it will underline in red any incorrectly spelled words. Click on the word, and it gives you some options to pick from. Click on the word, and away you go.

Spell checking in WordPress is really not that much different from Word, etc.
