Keyword Selector Tool

I found a great Keyword Selector Tool. Using keywords in your article is extremely important. Keywords are the words that people will use to find your site.

If you are not sure what keywords to use. Overture has a keyword selector tool http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ that works great. All you do is enter a term related to your site and the tool will show you related searches that include your term and how many times that term was searched last month.  read more »

Overture Bid Tool

Overture Bid Tool - Sometimes it’s nice to find out how much advertisers are paying per click on particular words. This can be extremely helpful when you are trying to decide on a blog topic.

Google Keyword Tool

The Google keyword tool generates other keywords for you. You type in your keywords and the keyword tool tells you what other keywords are related.

The tool also reports the keywords Google statistics, including search performance and seasonal trends.

The Google keyword tool will also do site related keywords. All you do is enter in your webpage URL to find keywords related to the content on the page.

Some great stuff. Be sure to try the Google keyword tool.

The second place is a newsletter sign up page. The purpose of this page is to gain long time visitors. You want them to sign up for the newsletter, not click your ads.  read more »

Where Should I Place My Ads?

That is the million dollar question: Where Should I Place My Ads? There is a ton of info out there on where to place your ads on your pages. I personally use the heat map on Google Adsense for my bible. Why would Google steer you wrong?

There is a thing called ad blindness. How many pages do you go to that have a banner ad right at the top? How many times have you clicked it? Or on the right hand side of the page? Or at the very bottom?  read more »
