Posting to Your Blog

There definitely is a science to writing for a blog. You want to entertain your readers as well as be informative. If you are too dry or boring, no one will want to read your stuff. But if you are goofy, sarcastic and ad a little bit of your own sense of humor to your writing. More people will read it.

Don’t ramble on too long. You want your posts to be about 300 to 500 words. Don’t write a book each time. Remember, that when people are surfing and searching for information, they skim and want to find things quickly and easily.  read more »

Setting up a new Blog

This is just a quick overview of the steps you need to take when starting a new blog.

Research keywords using Wordtracker
Research ads on Overture
Buy a domain. Wait until the DNS resolves
Login to Cpanel
Create a subdomain (test.test.com)
Create an add on domain point it to subdomain you just created (test.com)
Click on Fantastcio
Click on WordPress, new installation
Point it to test.com
Fill in user info (Keep track of what you enter)
Finish installation
Copy theme and plugins
Login to wpadmin activate theme
Copy ping list
Setup your permalink structure  read more »
