ProBlogger Gives Away $54,000 in Prizes!

Darren over at ProBlogger is running a contest over the next week or so. He is claiming that he is giving away over $54,000 worth of prizes. Wow, Killer!

"Over the next week here at ProBlogger I’m planning to give away over $54,000 (USD) of cash and prizes in the ProBlogger Birthday Bash! You heard me right - over $50,000 in cash and prizes have been donated by generous sponsors to this event and every cent of them will be going to ProBlogger readers in the coming 7 days. The prizes will be given out over a number of days through a variety of different competitions."

Blog Job Board

I am proud to announce that Go Blog Yourself now has a blog job board. You can view up to the minute blogging related jobs on our job board. This information is taken from several sources, ProBlogger, Indeed, Freelance Switch, to name just a few. I hope this can be a great resource to find Blogging and Telecommute jobs.

If you know of any other resources we need to add to our job board, please let us know. Also, if you would like to post jobs to our job board, please contact us. The fee is $20 for two months.

Sometimes finding images for your site or masthead can be a real challenge. Images are a great way to add impact to your site. Sure, there are plenty of places that you can buy images and sometimes you may need to. But there are also places that offer free images. Or even images you can use, but you must give attribution back to the owner. Most of these images will have some sort of stipulations. Read carefully.

Those resources should help you find almost any image. Check there first, if you can't find it on one of these links...then buy it. Remember to check to see what the restrictions are for your image.

RSS Feed Submission

You have to submit your blog to all of the blog submission directories out there. You also have to submit your feed to the RSS submission directories out there. There is a growing number. I found this site that has a ton of links to great RSS submission sites. Check it out...it's a great resource.

Google Acquires Feedburner

Google has acquired Feedburner. It's official, Google is taking over the world. It amazes me every day how big Google has gotten, in such a short time. I think if they continue as planned, they will own everything cool on the web. I wonder what effects this will have on the Feedburner interface?
